I GAVE JESUS A DRINK

I GAVE JESUS A DRINK
A cry of His heart over Tahiti and the islands

It was not until last Sunday at church that I understood, during the worship time, what that incident I experienced in downtown Papeete the week before really meant.

Here is the story. Aline and I went to downtown in Papeete (Tahiti) to do some errands and get a bill taken care of from one of the government offices of town. Aline stayed in car and while I was exiting the building and was walking toward the car my attention was caught by a man seated in the passenger seat of the car parked right behind ours. He was obviously trying to draw my attention and seemed to have a hard time talking loud enough.

Since he was really intent in saying something to me I drew nearer to him and he was kind of whispering that he was REALLY thirsty: "J'ai soif, je veux boire" (translated from French: "I'm thirsty, I need to drink"). It was obvious that he had some impediment of speech and might have had some kind of paralysis. I was a little embarassed because I didn't have any unsealed water bottle I could use nor any cup in the car (we had a bottle in the car but we had already drunk from it). But the man was so desperate and it sounded like a matter of REAL thirst or he was gonna pass out. I felt the urgency of his cry and I said to him I would go get the water we had in the car and I went to get it.

As I was going to pass the bottle in his hands, he was obviously unable to grab a hold of it and he motioned to me that he needed help to get the bottle to his mouth. He didn't have a full use of his arms. So I brought gently the bottle to his mouth and lifted it slowly in order to allow him to drink. After about 10 seconds I took the bottle down and asked him if it was enough and he mentioned it was enough for now. Then I did feel an anointing come over me and I started talking to Him about Jesus. He immediately started crying with deep emotions and tears.

The presence of God was definitely there and I began praying over his chest for a healing to take place into his body. He was definitely touched and when he thanked me I noticed that his speech was definitely better. Somehow I felt this wasn't the time for any steps of faith on his part and I didn't want to challenge him at that point to get off the car and try to walk or make some movements he couldn't make. He had mentioned to me that he was waiting for his son-in-law (who had gone into one of those offices to get something done). He had not enough words to express his gratitude. I must admit that that event stunned me and I knew God was going to tell me more about it.

He asked me my name and phone number and I wrote them over an empty envelop I had in my hands. He couldn't even handle them so I put them in the glove box right in from of him. I also went to get a business card I had in the car and also put it in that glove box. His name is Bernard Poroi and I would like to request to you that you might pray for him for a complete healing but also a much deeper experience of God's love and for His salvation. He called me yesterday or the day before because he wanted to talk to me and I'm thankful he did since I now have at least two numbers I can call to reach him. This is what he said "You saved my life". I'm sure that this man might have had a very serious problem if I had not responded to his SOS signal. Thank God, I was able to pay attention.

Now, this is what the Lord showed me when I was in church last Sunday. I was taken by some creative thoughts of going to the streets of downtown Papeete and reaching out in new ways to the youth of that town with music, dances and songs of praise. All this was going on while I was in worship. All of a sudden the Lord brought me back to that encounter with the man in the streets of Papeete and there He told me what I did: "When you gave that water to Bernard it was actually to me you were doing it. You gave me a drink. And everytime you reach out to distressed souls out there you're blessing me and you bring refreshment to my heart. I'm so eager to see these many souls brought into my Kingdom. I already paid the full price for them."

The Lord revealed His heart of compassion and I cried out to Him "Lord, send me". I'm not sure what other implications are into this encounter but I'd like to ask you, my friends, to pray for this man. I'd like to see him completely restored (body, soul and spirit). He might actually be the gateway to more of those encounters and I do pray that the Lord will bring a burning passion into my heart for all these other ones who are waiting within closed doors and out there in the open. As I'm writing these lines to you my heart is deeply moved because I know this is the heartbeat of my Father in heaven and I'm writing them because I felt His prompting in my heart to do so today.

I promised Bernard that I would go visit him and he is also very anxious that I go. Please pray that Heaven would come forth with much more reality and power than I've ever known. I want to see Jesus in me do much more to save, heal, restore, bring purpose and a full life which He has promised (Jn 10:10). I know I owe all this people an encounter with God and I need to allow my Lord to have the access He longs to have in so many people's lives. I cannot afford to waste the high price He paid and I need that fire to burn stronger and stronger in me. This is my cry!!

I appreciate any of those prayers that will be made out of what He already has for us to experience because they are usually the ones that are made with faith. Thank you for your input into our lives in whichever way the Lord would have you give it. We should be sending out our newsletter very soon (it's in the works right now). This message was probably burning more on the heart of Jesus than mine but I got hit by His bullet as I was writing it. I pray that His bullets will just go right into your hearts. Please, let's remove the bullet proof jackets of unbelief, disbelief, discouragement or depression because Heaven wants to break open on us even has it has been available for 2,000 years!!

Because He is all our heart's desire and doing His bidding is our utmost call,
Edualdo (& Aline) Cicero

THE MAUI SUPERNATURAL SCHOOL OF MINISTRY

Rev. Earl Thurner
E-mail of Nov 8th, 2007

They came from all over Maui, nearly 90 students, young and old, representing 12 churches to attend the opening session of our school of ministry on Maui, the first of many that will be established by The Desire of All Nations.

We only have room for 100 and already there are others calling to attend. One pastor shared with us how absolutey stunned he was to see Christians of various churches coming together and commit 7 months to a school, not even knowing who really was doing it , what to expect and then go out on outreaches each week together to do the miraculous all over Maui.  Hunger and passion to see the authentic and demonstrate the supernatural gospel in signs, wonders and deeds of love drew them, simply by word of mouth.

You can see a 30 second clip of the class by going to: http://www.myspace.com/mauisupernaturalschool

Here is one testimony and there are others....
"I wanted to tell you that John was healed of his intestinal problems on Monday night!!!  For the past six weeks he has been having stomach pains that get real bad when he eats....followed by at least one trip to the bathroom after each meal......this happened each time he ate.  We tried over the counter meds which didn't help ........ Anyway Kip, his wife and I laid our tingly hands on him Monday night at the Supernatural class and by the next day he could eat whatever he wanted with not pain and no after effects in the bathroom" -- Letty

Today I met with the young adult leader and office manager of the second largest church on Maui, Hope Chapel, who described by mightily touched by God during and after the class.  I remember him just standing off to the side, just experiencing the presence of God and his whole devotional life and awareness of God was heightened.

Before talking to him, I happened to see Charlie Maxwell, who is considered the voice of the Hawaiian people and he was at the class also.  He came to bless the class and honor the ministry and his arm was in a sling.  He had to leave early and some of our team prayed for him outside.  When I saw him today, he exclaimed, "My arm is so much better".

The presence of God was clearly felt and it was absolutely beautiful to be a part of this.  One lady Jana prayed for was so overwhelmed with joy after suffering from depression for years that she asked Jana if she could throw away her anti-depressant medicine!  Jana of course said that she could not answer that for her, it was the woman's choice but the lady said she had not felt so happy ever.

The "tingly" hands that you read about in the testimony was the experiencing of God's power in the hands of many during the class and we just let them pray for one another and we will be hearing more of what God did.

We have an awesome team that will be taking the students out all over Maui doing good and healing the oppressed.  As I shared Monday night, the blood of Jesus purchased a life, an abundant life.  His blood purchased the face of God and the embrace of the Father.  His blood purchased the joy of being transformed into the character of Christ from the inside out and a lifestyle of destroying the works of the devil as the normal Christian life.

      Isaiah 33:17
"Thine eyes shall see the King in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off"

This is not for when you die and go to heaven.  This is in this life now.  That is what God is doing in the earth, bringing people into genuine intimacy with God and bringing the realities of heaven into this life NOW.  In the midst of turmoil and all kinds of calamities and troubles, Jesus said the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations and then shall the end come.  There will be a testimony, it will be seen by the nations, of the good news of the kingdom not just good news of being saved and going to heaven someday.  The world will see the greater works than these shall you do and that was said by Jesus.  Lovers of God who love the nations and disciple them too with a message that is in power not just in word.

So we will keep you updated on what God does and are honored by your prayers to see Maui impacted by this school.  This is just our pilot school and we believe that it will be perpetuated in the years to come.

     Blessings to all of you!

The Kingdom of God in Maui (Hawaii)

Posted By Bill Vanderbush to Sharpening Iron at 10/11/2007 05:15:00 PM

We've seen some amazing miracles continue as the Spirit of God is poured out in Maui. A man who had a pain in the left side of his head and had been unable to work and sleep because of it, said that he was going to a specialist on Oahu, meaning that it was suspected that something was seriously wrong. He was prayed for and completely healed. A lady with constant pain in her feet, who had two surgeries to remedy it without success, felt a heat in her feet and the pain was gone. She walked with her husband on the beach with no pain. Supernatural manifestations have become a common cool occurrence.

A lady with a spa type clinic in Kahului prayed for an unsaved client who accepted Jesus and asked God to fill her with His Spirit. Then, with no prompting, coaching, or previous experience, she began to speak in tongues. The whole office staff was literally intoxicated with the presence of God. The same lady reported that she prayed for another client who was an atheist and though professing not to believe in God, asked for prayer for her daughter who was on drugs and away from home. Soon after that prayer, that lady went to the front door of her house in the morning and her daughter was on her doorstep. The daughter accepted Jesus and was delivered from drug addiction.

A lady in church had been praying for her son for two years to come to the Lord. Even after many invitations he wouldn't come to church. She took a small cloth and prayed over it and then tucked it in his wallet. On the Sunday after she did that, he showed up at church and was radically touched. Another lady in the church who suffered with asthma testified of her healing. Her lungs were clear and she didn't have to use her inhaler anymore. I could go on and on and on...

But last night was the apex of the movement toward revival that we've contended for since arriving in January. It was the unveiling of the Maui School of Supernatural Ministry which is a pilot branch out of Bethel Church in Redding, CA. The sanctuary was full of people from all over Maui who had one thing in common. A hunger for God. Even then, there were people who were drawn in by the Spirit of God. A young man walking by was drawn in and got his world rocked as the power of God overtook him in his seat. He gave his life to the Lord last night, simply compelled to come in. A young lady driving by, clouded by oppression, felt drawn into the parking lot and sat surrounded by a crowd of radical believers for the entire gathering. At the end she accepted the Lord for the first time in her life. It's interesting that we tone down services in a carnal attempt to insulate people from offense by limiting their exposure to the supernatural power of God. What gives us the right to hold people back from all God wants to release? I'll write more about this another time but I'm learning some things here.

Then the testimonies of healings began. Here's how it seems to go. As worship happens, and the message of the Kingdom is declared, a wave of anointing sweeps across the room. We asked anyone who felt a heat or unusual sensation in their hands to raise them. Hands go up all over the room. They begin to lay hands on people around them. A man in the center of the sanctuary with a heart condition falls to the floor in the center aisle under the power of the Spirit of God. A lady from Egypt who couldn't raise her arms above her head because of joint problems with her shoulders was totally healed and raising her arms high in praise to God. So many things happen as people begin to give words of knowledge and prophecy over one another. All over the room the Spirit of God is moving.

It's hard to keep up with it all. And then, in the middle of all of this, an older Hawaiian man, very nicely dressed in local clothing with a very native decoration around his neck, stands and wants to testify. The room gets quiet, really quiet. He simply turns to the sanctuary and testified that he came with pain in his knees and as those around him were praying, his knees began to pop and the pain was gone, healed by the "power of Jesus". The room erupts! I figure, this is a nice testimony but the reaction of the people seemed more intense. I found out later who this was. I'll refrain from publishing his name here because I don't have permission to do so. But he is known as the father of the local Hawaiian people.

His influence in the preservation of the culture and the heritage of the Hawaiian nation, is enormous. To the highest seat in state government, he has affected policy on a variety of issues, speaking out on behalf of the Hawaiian people. It was told to me following the service (because I didn't know any better) "Every local Hawaiian will soon hear that this man was healed by Jesus Christ." The word I get over and over again from people calling about this is that you have no idea how huge that is. Perhaps not, but we serve a huge God who has all authority and is in a really good mood and huge things are on His heart so they should also be on ours. Raise your expectations to the place where the discipling of a city, a state, and a nation is totally within reach. Because it is.

Transition is the name of the game!

Oct. 5, 2007--RICK JOYNER:

"We Are In the First Stages of A Great Transition--Maybe the Greatest Yet"

"Transitions present the most risk, and therefore require the most faith."

Previously, we began to address the question of why it seems that every host of a great revival gets left in worse shape than before the revival. The answer to that question will give us many important answers that could bring a huge influx of life into the Church, as well as enable the Church to sustain a level of life and power that could make revivals obsolete and unnecessary. Why is this? Revival is only required when something has to be revived. If the Church was living and thriving the way it should be, it would not need to be revived, but would be continually increasing in life and power.

The Path of Life--Navigating through Transition

This is stated in Proverbs 4:18, "But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day." That is normal Christianity--walking in continually increasing light until we have the fullness of the light. Since it is obvious that no one is presently walking in the fullness of the light, and there is no credible person who is claiming to be, we obviously still have a long way to go. However, there are people and movements who are walking in ever increasing light and should still be on the right path.

Therefore, if this is not happening for us, we have missed a turn somewhere. We need to go back to where we missed it and get back on the right path. That's called "repentance."

It is one thing to get off of the path, but it is another to get stuck on it somewhere and stop moving. This happens to many. They may not be involved in sin or legalism, which are the ditches on either side of the path of life, but neither are they increasing in the light they are walking in. These have just stopped, and most of these have stopped because they ran into a transition that they couldn't or didn't want to make.

Navigating through a spiritual transition is one of the rarest and most difficult requirements for leadership. Transitions present the most risk, and therefore require the most faith. In every significant transition that I have experienced, it seemed that the whole work was being put at risk to go to the next level. Even though there is the promise of being able to bear much more fruit once the transition is made, almost all require that a time of severe pruning precede it. It is much easier to lead when people are gathering and everything is on the increase than it is through a pruning in which people are leaving. The purpose for the transition may seem obscure to all but the leaders.

As the Apostle Paul shared with the churches in the first century, "Through many tribulations we must enter the Kingdom of God" (see Acts 14:22). This is a principle that we could interpret, "Through many transitions we must enter the Kingdom of God." Transitions will be tribulations. That's why when the whole world makes the transition to the Kingdom, it will be the greatest of all tribulations. We all want to get to the Kingdom, but not many want to go through the door.

Even so, churches, movements, missions, even companies and nations begin to die when they get stuck at one stage of development--they stop growing and stop moving forward. The River of Life is just that--a river, not a lake or a pond. A river is flowing, moving, and going somewhere. That is why it is said that you can never step into the same river twice--it constantly changes. Like it or not, change is a basic evidence of healthy life. The path of life, which is also called the path of the righteous, is a path, and a path leads somewhere.

Prophetic Ministry and Leadership

Biblically, we see the great moves of God having the same problem we have in keeping the momentum going. One place this is highlighted is Ezra 4:24-5:2:

"Then work on the house of God in Jerusalem ceased, and it was stopped until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia. When the prophets, Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied to the Jews who were in Judah and Jerusalem, in the name of the God of Israel, who was over them, then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak arose and began to rebuild the house of God which is in Jerusalem; and the prophets of God were with them supporting them."

In Ezra, in the prophecies of Haggai and Zechariah, the remnant who had returned to rebuild the temple laid the foundation and then became distracted, with each building their own houses, and forgetting the house of God. This is a good prophetic picture of where the Church is today. Many arose with a heart to see radical, Biblical Christianity and New Testament Church life restored. A foundation for this was laid, but then the workers became distracted and went off to build their own "houses" or ministries.

It is rare to find a ministry today that is not just built around an individual's purpose or vision that has a true Kingdom purpose and vision. In Ezra, this distraction continued until the prophets started prophesying. This is one of the main reasons why the Lord has raised up the prophetic ministry in our time--to get the work on His restored house completed and to see the Church come forth in all of the glory she is called to walk in.

In the last two decades, the prophetic ministry has been received in an increasing part of the Body of Christ. There has been movement again toward the Church's ultimate purpose where it has been received. This ministry is especially given to get the Church moving, and to keep it moving, which we see highlighted in Ezra 6:14:

"And the elders of the Jews were successful in building through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they finished building according to the command of the God of Israel and the decree of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia."

First, the elders were successful in building through the prophesying of the prophets. The prophets did not create the building--the elders did. Some prophets can be good builders, but not many. In general, prophets will do well to let the elders do that part and let the prophets stick to their part. The elders would also do well not to try to get the prophets too involved in the practical work of building. They may want to do it, but if it is not their calling, and with most of them it isn't, then they should not do it.

The point that we made before is that the work on the house of God ceased until the prophets started prophesying. The work on the house of God will not avoid the ruts, or be able to get out of them without the prophets. Certainly the prophets can be difficult, but the work will be much more difficult without them. The time may now be upon us when no work will enter into its full purpose without them. They are especially important for helping works through transitional stages.

The prophets are a part of the Body, and as the Apostle Paul explained, one part of the Body must not say to another part that they have no need of them. We will not get very far without them. If we reject the true prophets, we will likely become subject to those who are false. The reason we are told in Acts 2:17-18 that in "the last days," when the Lord pours out His Spirit, the result will be dreams, visions, and prophecy, because in the last days, we will not make it without this kind of specific guidance.

The third point we can derive from Ezra 6:14 is that the work was completed according to the God of Israel and the decrees of the civil authorities. It is a remarkable thing the way the Lord moved on the hearts of these kings to not only let their slaves go, but to bless and support them and donate to their work. This is another whole subject that we will only note for now, but anti-government and anti-authority mindsets have no place in the work of God, as Paul made clear in Romans 13.

For these last few weeks I have been trying to reinforce and elaborate a bit more on how to make a phase transition. This is one of the most critical aspects of leadership. The greatest leaders in history were those who led through the great transitions. I am also sharing this because I believe we are, overall, in the first stages of a great transition, maybe the greatest yet--the transition of an age. This will require extraordinary leadership, but the Lord will provide it. Even so, walking in the light and the increasing light of "the path of the righteous," means that we should be able to see our path with increasing clarity. That is what we will seek.

You Guys Need to Read This!

September 3, 2007

Kathie Walters:

"LIVING IN THE GLORY--GOD CALLED US FIRST TO ENJOY HIM"

"We need to live in what He has done, and not in what we are trying to do."

Recently, when I arrived on the East Coast for a weekend of ministry, I was met at the airport by some very excited ladies. "We are so glad you're here!" one of them exclaimed, "We really need a touch from God." My husband, David, and I hear this quite often.

It concerns me when people seek after a "touch from God," because God has something better for us--His provision is for us to live in His glory. I understand people's heart and desire for God, but if we learn to live in His glory, then we can become a source of the touch from God. We don't have to seek after one.

Changing Mindsets

Although God will bless His people, there are some things that He will not agree with--for example, our religious mindsets. The Holy Spirit cannot stay and dwell in these wrong concepts as they are contrary to the truth, because He is the Spirit of Truth. God has shown me three very important mindsets that we need to change.

The first mindset is one that most Christians can be guilty of. Either consciously or unconsciously, we are trying to change our old nature (old man) and improve ourselves. We fail to realize that Jesus never came to do that. Jesus crucified the old man so that by faith, we can walk in the new man who is already created in righteousness and holiness.

Because of this, the enemy tries to make people feel they are not qualified to live in the supernatural realm--but remember, Satan is a liar and a thief. Jesus qualified us 100 percent. It's never 90 percent God, 10 percent us--it's 100 percent Him. The supernatural realm of angels, Heavenly visitations and the chariots of God were meant to be a normal part of our lives. They are manifestations of the Glory of God.

As you behold the glory of the Lord "...we are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).

He is going to "...present you faultless before the presence of His glory...." (Jude 1:24).

We are His trophy and His workmanship. He is the One who does the work, while we do the yielding. We need to live in what He has done, and not in what we are trying to do. Don't pray for God to send His glory--He already has. We aren't changed from glory to glory by trying--we're changed by His Spirit.

The second thing that we are prone to is "false responsibility." We are responsible for what He gives us, and that is it! A heavy spirit makes people feel responsible for things and people they can do nothing about. We cannot change anyone, and we certainly can't make anyone do something.

Many revivals have been quenched by this religious spirit. A young revivalist was used mightily in the great Welsh revival. He was a vessel and the glory of God flowed through him. Then, after a year, he began to make himself responsible for how the people responded to the Spirit. If they did not respond the way he thought they should, he would leave the meeting or shut it down. This brought a spirit of heaviness into the land and onto the people because it was not his responsibility.

Our responsibility is to do what He tells us to do, say what He asks us to say, and go where He wants us to go. That is all God requires from us--and we get to keep our joy!

The third religious thing we fall into is carrying "false burdens." As intercessors, we need only to yield to the Spirit. When that anointing falls on us and we do some warfare, we have to remember that it isn't us, it's the anointing from Heaven. We may do some declaring, or we may laugh, weep or fall down on the floor and cry out, but no matter what, the burden will eventually lift because Jesus is the Ultimate Intercessor seated at the right hand of the Father.

Once, I belonged to an intercession group in Florida. We got into some battles where the burden was so heavy, it felt like a dark cloud weighing down on us. Finally, someone prayed for the group and cast out the false burden. We actually felt it lift. We laughed and took a break because there are times when you need a break to get back under the anointing.

God called us first to enjoy Him--after all, if we don't enjoy Him, why are we serving Him?

Your Mindsets DO Affect the Moves of the Spirit

That is why moves of the Spirit come and go. Why is there a powerful move of God in a certain church or ministry, but after a couple of years it dissipates? People wonder, are puzzled and may be hurt by it, but often it is a result of a spirit of abortion that causes the move of God to be terminated. Unfortunately, it affects the people who have been enjoying that move of the Holy Spirit and the presence of the Lord.

When my husband and I came into the things of the Spirit, we had layers of theology and head knowledge. We could dot every theological "i" and cross every doctrinal "t." We began to seek the Lord. We were hungry for God. Then we came into a powerful revival in the South of London. People were coming from everywhere and the presence of God was overwhelming. Our biggest stumbling block was not our worldly ways, but our theology and head knowledge.
We had to learn that when the Body came together and let God move, it really wasn't about who or what, it was all about Him. No one really cared what happened as long as the beautiful presence of Jesus was there.

People left the meetings and never made it to the bus stop. They would fall out under the anointing and lie in peoples' front yards, hang in trees or sprawl out in the bushes. When people called to get directions to the meeting, we would have to tell them, "You will find people lying in the street outside; don't take any notice, just step over them and come on in." The glory of God was on everyone--the banker, the trash man, the child, the aged.

Sometimes we just have to sit at the feet of Jesus, rest, and let Him shower us with His love. He is not asking us to run around 24/7 getting all worn out.

He is the lover and keeper of our soul. We are the apple of His eye, His beloved. We can rest and live in His glory because He has covered us with it. Remember, He called us for Himself--we are His treasures!

We picked it for you - Enjoy!

Hello dear ones,

We thought you might enjoy this article by Bill Yount on the Obsession for Fruit.

The Lord is about to bring the best new wine ever made out of our lives and ministries unto Him.

Love & Passion,

Edualdo & Aline Cicero

"July 26, 2007 -- Bill Yount:

"I Heard It Through the Grapevine--Joshua and Caleb were OBSESSED with Looking for FRUIT!"

Numbers 13:20 "And be ye of good courage and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the first ripe grapes."

It's interesting that the spies were sent in to spy out the Promised Land when the first grapes of the season were ripe. I sense the Lord wanted all twelve spies to focus on the fruit of that land and not the giants. I am sure Joshua and Caleb kept hearing how big the giants and walled up cities were from those ten spies while they were taking their tour. I believe Joshua and Caleb got to thinking, "If the giants are really that big, can you imagine how big that fruit must be?" Joshua and Caleb were obsessed, looking for the fruit of the land of promise. What we look for is what we will find. They came back with a cluster of grapes so big, it took two men to carry one cluster on a pole out of the valley of Eschol.

GOD CALLED THE LAND THAT WAS FULL OF HEATHEN GIANTS AND UNGODLY CITIES, WALLED UP TO HEAVEN "A GOOD LAND THAT FLOWS WITH MILK AND HONEY!"

Psalm 27:13 "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."

If we are ever going to enter our Promised Land we must see the good in our nation, our government officials, our cities and the good in every person we meet! We may have to use Scripture (Romans 4:17) to see the good, and call those things that are not as though they already were!

Romans 2:4 "It's the goodness of the Lord that leads men to repentance."

Did you know that God chooses to see the good in you, and not the evil? Ask the father of the prodigal son what he saw when his son came wandering up the road to home, and said, even when he was still in the pigpen of sin, "That's my son!" Be careful of what comes out of your mouth when you see heathens rage and sin in people's lives increasing. It was what came out of the mouth of the ten spies that kept all of Israel from entering into their inheritance!

It's the same for us today. If our mouths can keep us out of our inheritance, then our mouths can take us in! Let's look for the good and speak of what is good in the land of the living!

THE "CLUSTER" OF GRAPES WAS THE KEY TO GETTING BACK INTO THE PROMISED LAND

I noticed that Joshua and Caleb still stuck it out with that unbelieving bunch of "sour" grapes that eventually dried up in the wilderness and became raisins. God separated Joshua and Caleb from them, later in His timing, and they finally got to enter into their inheritance. But they hung in there, for they knew the key to get back into the Promised Land was to stay together and let the process prepare them for what was ahead.

Isaiah 65:8 "... as the new wine is found in the cluster, destroy it not; for a blessing is in it."

God has a corporate vision right now for His Kingdom in the earth, so we must be in a cluster of believers, and we must connect with churches, tribes, tongues, and nations--for God is too big for just our ministry, church, or home group. I sense that what God has in mind is beyond us. This new wine cannot be made from just one grape--one ministry, one church, or one vision. Without connecting to the cluster, your life and ministry is bound to dry up.

I SAW THE HANDS OF GOD COMING UPON THIS CLUSTER OF GRAPES OF THE NATIONS... HIS HANDS ARE ABOUT TO BLESS US BEYOND MEASURE

I saw some pressure coming upon this huge cluster of grapes where you and I were placed by the hand of God. We first thought the pressure was coming from the enemy or other grapes in this cluster, but I clearly saw the hands of God begin to squeeze this cluster to make the best new wine that He was saving for this last, end-time, harvest revival.

You can always tell when God is about to make new wine from the cluster where you are placed... some grapes will begin to "wine."

IT'S TIME WE SAY TO THE GRAPE NEXT TO US... GOD IS SMARTER THAN YOU AND I!

As His hands continued to put pressure on us in this cluster, some grapes began to cry out, "Oh, God, I can't handle this bunch You put me with. Please get me out of here!" The Lord responded, "I will, My way, just hang in there!" As more pressure was put on this cluster, some grapes began to cry out. "Lord, I am not being appreciated here. These grapes around me seem to be hindering my gifting, calling, and dream You have given me. I seem to be losing my identity." The Lord says, "You are right on schedule. You have been too thin-skinned, and your brokenness is a must for what I am about to do. If you lose your life, you will find it in Me!" Most of the grapes in this cluster had no idea what God was really up to. More than our dreams, plans, and ministries, God seems to be after something more than we could understand. I think it is time we say to the grape next to us, "God is smarter than you and I!"

"THE ANOINTING FOR THE HARVEST OF THE NATIONS IS IN THE 'CLUSTER' OF GRAPES!"

As the hand of God kept squeezing this cluster, many grapes were broken to pieces. The juice of the grapes dripped down from the cluster into the earth, becoming the new wine for the great harvest of the nations.

Some Special Visitors with us in Tahiti!!

The following is the excerpt of a blog that was sent by Boodi (Jean-François Blanc), a Christian short-term missionary sailor, whose mission (along with his co-worker Will) is to go to the island nations all over the world and serve in whatever way they can in order to facilitate the spreading of the Gospel. They made it to Tahiti on July 24th and will be leaving around Aug. 20th, 2007. Their next destination will be Fiji on board of their Swan 44 feet long sail boat. Feel free to check their website!!    www.veritas.oceanblue.net

Subject: Aug 6, 2007 – Marama Night

Greetings!!  I just wanted to bring you up to speed on events.  From what I experienced, the Marama Night youth outreach on Friday was a large success with at least several hundred folks participating and watching.  A group from Hawaii also performed.  This was a great time to have some fun and share the gospel with a diverse crowd.  Edualdo, great work!!

Aline took Melinda to the airport half way through Marama Night.  Melinda, thank you so much for your service to the mission.  Several women came up to me at church and specifically mentioned how you touched their lives.

My message to the Full Gospel Church was a bit short by local standards I think but it seemed to be well received and I pray that through God I was able to both encourage and challenge the congregation.  The message was primarily on Isaiah 42:10-13.  Thank you all so much for your prayers, they are always greatly appreciated.

.......................................................................................................................

There is no shortage of places and ways to serve so I would encourage any of you who have been looking for some way to apply your special gifts, talents, or resources to please contact us.

May God bless you all abundantly,

Boodi

RevivalPost from Tahiti (June-July 2007)

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you" (Is. 60:1)
REVIVALPOST from TAHITI
Edualdo, Aline, Kori, Erika, Silvio & Benji Cicero
French Polynesia (South Pacific)
June-July 2007
----------------------------------------------------

Dear Friends & Partners,

TRIP TO THE USA (mid-June to mid-July 2007)
Our trip to the USA was the best vacation we ever had as a family. We went out because we felt such need for renewal, rest and recreation for our minds, hearts and bodies. The Lord honored our step of faith as we ventured out in spite of a limited budget in our hands that could not possibly have met all our needs for four entire weeks!

Erika, Silvio and Benji had their share of fun (and we did too) at some amusement parks. We were also greatly blessed to have met many of our old time friends we had not seen for many years and get to know other wonderful people, places and ministries. It was such a breathtaking experience to drive through vast stretches of landscapes (deserts of California/Nevada and majestic forests of Sequoia trees as well as Yosemite National Park). We were also privileged to have been offered some nights at nice resorts on our way back down from Northern California (we felt really spoiled and special). Basically our itinerary (which you had received) was followed through and we did have a long drive of about 4,000 miles (in 4 states).

We want to express our deep gratitude to all of you who have been such an intrical part of the success of this wonderful trip. You have been a great blessing to us through your hospitality, your presence, your generosity, your prayers, and your serving hearts. It was truly God's love lavishing us with special attention and treats.

One of the highlights was the ministry of Bethel Church in Redding, CA. We were so blessed to just be there and be on the receiving end. The presence of God was really refreshing and stimulating to our faith. Testimonies of healings and miracles were reported at every meeting. The overall message about the Kingdom of God and its demonstrations were a great inspiration to our hearts.

KIDS' CORNER
While we were having fun in the US, Kori (19), our eldest daughter, was taking exams in France. We were so excited to hear she passed the entrance exam to the Political Sciences Institute of the University of Toulouse, France. She will return to Tahiti on August 10th and will heading back to France mid September. We are so blessed! She is now looking for a place to stay in Toulouse.

Erika (16), Silvio (15) and Benji (12) all agree that they have had the best vacation ever. Precious memories to keep and remember for a lifetime! Although three of our children were born in the US, this trip was a real discovery with so many new experiences to live, places to see, and friends to meet that have known them as babies or toodlers!

OUR NEXT MARAMA NIGHT (Saturday, August 4th)
We are already actively preparing our next major Marama Night youth event. It will take place this time at the very central square of downtown Papeete called Vaiete (translated by "water basket"). It will be a mini concert that will gather 7 groups of youth from different fellowships and churches. The main goal of these youth is an opportunity to convey the presence of Jesus and His message of love and healing to the people who will be gathered for this occasion through dances, songs, skits, fun challenges and a final hour of worship.

Please do pray that that night will see many people touched, healed and reconciled to God and one another. More than ever before Tahiti needs to hear the call of the Father gathering lost hearts unto Himself as He demonstrates the reality of His love through signs, wonders, miracles and healings.

PRAYER CHALLENGES
The followings are some prayer needs we'd like to share with you that are important and vital to our lives and ministry in French Polynesia:
1. Increasing awareness of and intensified desire for the Presence of the Lord in our lives
2. Greater focus of our heart and vision toward the most essential aspects of God's will for our lives
3. Keeping our dream alive for a nation wide revival over French Polynesia that would set this nation on course to a fulfillment of its divine destiny
4. For divine solutions to the deep political and economic crisis of our nation
5. Our bookstore in downtown Papeete still needs a major financial breakthrough (we really need to restock it)
6. Definite need for an increase of our financial support to face the ongoing expenses of our lives and ministry
7. Strategic connections with ministries that would help us fulfill God's call in French Polynesia
8. For the International School of Ministry (ISOM) which we continue to coordinate in Papeete
9. Continued protection in the area of health (spiritual, physical and emotional)

We invite you to join our hearts for the blessed times that are ahead of us as we foresee the great Harvest already at hand!

Much love and passion in Jesus,

Edualdo & Aline Cicero

Praise Report (Marama Night of June 2nd, 2007)

PRAISE REPORT
VISION of the HARVEST - TAHITI
French Polynesia (South Pacific)
Marama Night of June 2nd, 2007
----------------------------------------------------

Dear friends and prayer partners,

IT WAS A REAL BLESSING TO SEE THE YOUTH HAVE SO MUCH FUN
We know some of you have been waiting for this report. Last Saturday, June 2nd, from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM (Tahiti time), our 5th Marama Night youth event at McDonald's for the second time, was a real blast. The youth involved had a great time of praise & worship, dances, skits and fun contests.

This is how the Lord intervened during that night as you prayed for:
  • continued smooth and favorable connections with the managing team in McDonald's (Tahiti)
DEFINITELY, IT WAS APPRECIATED BY THE MCDONALD'S STAFF &
THE CLIENTS WHO FLOODED THE AREA FOR MEALS AND WATCHED THE FUN
  • good preparation of the youth groups from different fellowships who performed
EACH GROUP (a total of 4) HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPRESS THEIR SONGS, DANCES, PLAYS &
MUSIC WITH DEDICATION AS UNTO THE LORD
  • perfect weather conditions (no rain especially)
IT WAS A GREAT WEATHER!
  • no disfunctions and no damage on the equipment we will require (sound system, tent, stage, musical instruments, lights, decorations, etc.)
NO DAMAGE FOR SURE BUT THE SOUND QUALITY NEEDED SOME WORK THIS TIME!
(We reached a few times saturation point with the extent of microphones and instruments involved)
  • good impact of radio announcemnts, posters, flyers all over town and beyond
LOOKS LIKE QUITE A FEW PEOPLE SHOWED UP AND THE MARAMA NIGHT ARE GETTING TO BE KNOWN!
  • the drawing of a good crowd of youth that night
WE MUST HAVE HAD AT LEAST 250 PEOPLE
(was hard to count with the tremendous number of clients coming in and out as well)
  • no discouragement or demonic strategies to hinder the teams in their performances
IT WAS MANIFESTED THROUGH SOME DEGREE OF SPIRITUAL
HEAVINESS & SOME TECHNICAL DISFUNCTIONS
  • the abiding touch of the Holy Spirit to anoint the whole event
YES, WE BLESS THE LORD FOR THE OVERALL ENJOYMENT AND FUN THE YOUTH EXPERIENCED
THROUGH THE FUN CHALLENGES OF THAT NIGHT
  • sensitivity and boldness in conveying the message according to the heart of God
THE MESSAGE CLEARLY CAME ACROSS THROUGH ONE OF THE PLAYS THAT A YOUTH GROUP
PERFORMED THROUGH SINGING AND DANCING (the theme of loneliness and rejection)
  • good testimony of the Christian youth involved in the event
WE ARE VERY AMAZED TO SEE HOW THESE EVENTS HAVE POLARIZED THE HEART OF THE
CHRISTIAN YOUTH INVOLVED AND HAS GIVEN THEM A NEW BOLDNESS TO SHARE CHRIST
  • many hearts touched and ready to receive the love of Jesus unto salvation & healing
SOME PEOPLE WERE CLEARLY TOUCHED BUT IT'S HARD AT THIS POINT TO MEASURE THE FULL IMPACT
  • an increasing awareness of the presence of God during our Marama Night events
WE HAVE SENSED AN INCREASING AWARENESS OF GOD'S PRESENCE BUT MORE IS YET TO COME
  • favor with city officials and also the permit to hold our next Marama Night Mini Concert (on August 4th) at a very public and central location in Papeete
FAVOR HAS BEEN DEFINTELY THERE AND WE ARE TARGETING A VERY CENTRAL LOCATION
OF DOWNTOWN FOR OUR NEXT MARAMA NIGHT MINI CONCERT ON AUGUST 4TH, 2007

We will keep you posted on the next event. In the meantime we're getting ready for our long awaited four-week long trip to the USA (from June 16th through July 14th). We will no doubt experience some new adventures and we would appreciate your prayerful support. Stay tuned...

Global Day of Prayer & Marama Night (5th Edition)

PRAYER ALERT & PRAISE REPORT
VISION of the HARVEST - TAHITI
French Polynesia (South Pacific)
Global Day of Prayer (May 27, 2007) & Marama Night of June 2nd, 2007
----------------------------------------------------

Dear friends and prayer partners,

THE GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER IN TAHITI: A NEW DAY FOR OUR NATION
Last Sunday, May 27th, we joined in with the many hundreds of millions of Christians spread out over 220 nations for the Global Day of Prayer of Pentecost Sunday. It was indeed for us in Tahiti the occasion for a great gathering of the saints (between 250 and 300) from at least five different fellowships/churches. Pastor William Tua rented the Sheraton Hotel for the event. I believe the most moving time was the Holy Communion where we did sense a special work of the Holy Spirit breaking our hearts over the many years of divisions and dissentions among Christians that have caused so much grief to God.

Everybody was so excited by the meaningfulness of that day and we believe (along with others) that this Pentecost Sunday has marked the history of our nation for that is the day when a significant portion of the Body of Christ of our nation has agreed to be AS ONE before the Lord. We saw the crumbling of many unworthy walls that have been built over the years in the name of religious pride and selfish ambitions. We are really thankful to God and we feel honored to have been able to be a part of this tremendous gathering and we are praying that other opportunities will be given to worship God together again in the near future.

OUR NEXT MARAMA NIGHT, THIS SATURDAY JUNE 2nd
This coming Saturday, June 2nd, from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM (Tahiti time), will be hosted our 5th Marama Night youth event at McDonald's in downtown Papeete. It is going to be our second open air public endeavor and we believe it will impact many people's lives. We had actually planned the event somewhere else in Papeete but it didn't work out that way! Thank God, McDonald's was open to host us again.
We'd like to request your prayers (same as last time) on behalf of this forthcoming night especially in these very areas:
  • continued smooth and favorable connections with the managing team in McDonald's (Tahiti)
  • good preparation of the youth groups from different fellowships who will be performing
  • perfect weather conditions (no rain especially)
  • no disfunctions and no damage on the equipment we will require (sound system, tent, stage, musical instruments, lights, decorations, etc.)
  • good impact of radio announcemnts, posters, flyers all over town and beyond
  • the drawing of a good crowd of youth that night
  • no discouragement or demonic strategies to hinder the teams in their performances
  • the abiding touch of the Holy Spirit to anoint the whole event
  • sensitivity and boldness in conveying the message according to the heart of God
  • good testimony of the Christian youth involved in the event
  • many hearts touched and ready to receive the love of Jesus unto salvation & healing
  • an increasing awareness of the presence of God during our Marama Night events
  • favor with city officials and also the permit to hold our next Marama Night Mini Concert (on August 4th) at a very public and central location in Papeete
The main sound mixing table we were supposed to acquire a month ago, hasn't made it yet to Tahiti. This piece of sound equipment will indeed be strategic to our Marama Night events. Please pray that we will have it no later than August 2007.
With much love, appreciation & gratitude for your partnership in the Lord's Harvest,
Edualdo & Aline Cicero
