Happy Thanksgiving Day from the Cicero Family (Tahiti)

Dear Friends & Partners,

We are so very thankful to Abba Father for the bountiful grace He has lavished on us to become His sons and daughters through the best gift of all, Jesus His Son!

We have been called from darkness into His marvelous light that we may declare His glory and boast of our salvation in Christ. We are so privileged as members of the household of God to have you as our brothers and sisters and realize how precious that is!

We pray that this Thanksgiving Day be a day of great joy, comfort and gratefulness as we remember all the blessings, the love and the privilege which is ours to belong to a wonderful God who has been faithful to us in so many ways.

Joining in your praises of thanksgiving to the One who has been, is and always will be the Greatest of all!

Psalm 103:1-2

"Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits"

Our last MARAMA NIGHT in Papeete (Tahiti) on Nov. 8th, 2008

This is definitely not a comprehensive view of what happened that night but just a few shots that will give you but a glimpse of what it is all about. We are praying that its impact will grow and would bring lasting change in the community, especially among youth whom we want to see set on fire for Jesus!

NOW THAT THE US ELECTION IS OVER

Hello friends & partners,

We got this very interesting "True/False" test from other friends who forwarded it to us.  It would be nice if we all took it. Indeed, many of us "have been encouraged to be worried, afraid, concerned, prepared for disaster, and a whole host of other maladies". It is time to take stock now and (re)gain a biblical perspective on the situation at hand with the outcome we all know now about the US elections. Our love remains intact for all of you.
Edualdo & Aline.

IF THIS IS ALL TRUE, WE WIN!

True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, Jesus will still be King.
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, our responsibilities as Christians will not have changed one iota.
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, the greatest agent for social change in America will still be winning the hearts and minds of men and women through the gospel, not legislation.
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, my primary citizenship will still be in this order –
                        (1) the Kingdom of God,
                        (2) America, not vice-versa.
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, the tomb will still be empty.
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, the cross, not the government, will still be our salvation.
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, our children will still be more concerned with whether or not we spend time with them than with who is President.
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, my neighbor will still be my neighbor, and loving him/her will still be the second greatest commandment.  (Do you know the first?)
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, the only way to see abortion ultimately overturned will still be winning men and women to a high view of life through the gospel of Christ.
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, the only way to see gay marriage ultimately defeated will still be winning men and women to a biblical view of marriage through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, my retirement will still not match my treasure in Heaven.
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, "Jesus Is Lord" will still be the greatest truth in the Universe.
True/False:  The day after the election, regardless of who wins, we will still know that God is in control.

We pray that we will remember who we are and who He is!!!

JUST TELL US THE TRUTH (from Youtube.com)

THIS IS THE PLAIN TRUTH ABOUT THE REAL ISSUES INVOLVED IN THE UPCOMING ELECTIONS OF THE USA! It's worth passing it on and none of us can stay indifferent to these issues especially if we truly are believers... right?

GOD INVASIONS: THE REALITY OF HEAVEN IN OUR DAY TO DAY LIVES (October 9th, 2008 by Torea Manjard)

Her name was Carmen, and she had called the office out of curiosity about a product our company sells. I was the one entitled to meet her at her home to give her the necessary informations. As I got to her door, I was surprised to be greeted by a lady wearing thin socks covering half of her legs and walking painfully with 2 crutches. This was quite an obvious God set up for a miracle to happen. As we were reaching the end of our appointment, I was still wondering about a way to get to lay my hands on her and pray without causing any trouble as we were meeting in a professional purpose. Finding no solution, I just decided to risk it all and ask her if I could pray for her anyways.

My request was met with a long silence as her eyes began to fill with tears. She was born with a deformity in her feet that forced her to walk on her toes 24/7. Now after 40 some years of walking that way, her feet were so injured she had to have surgery and have metal bolts placed in them to stop any side movements, which according to the doctor could completely destroy her feet. I began to tell her about the love of God and how He wanted her to experience this love tangibly.

Before I could reach her feet to pray, she began screaming with a loud voice : '' AHHHH, DO YOU FEEL THIS!!! DO YOU FEEL THIS!!?? ". Sensing that God was obviously doing something I asked her to explain to me what she was feeling, to which she answered : " HEAT, FIRE IS COURSING ALL THROUGH MY BODY AND SHOOTING TO MY FINGERTIPS AND MY BACK !! ". At that point we could read joy all over her face. She couldn't explain what was happening but she was simply happy. I then asked her to do something she couldn't do with her feet before. To that she began moving her feet back and forth and finally said : '' LOOK, I CAN MOVE IT !! '' .

We serve a great God and He loves us like crazy. I then felt a stirring from the Holy Spirit to keep going, so I proceeded to tap into the revelatory realm of God and began speaking words of destiny over her life as tears began to build up in her eyes again. Words of knowledge then began to flow about a member of her family who was dealing with cancer to which she nodded with shock as the doctors had found a lump in her son in law's mother's breast just a few days earlier. We then proclaimed her healing out loud. This lady is now serving in the youth department of her church where she is doing what she always had in her heart : counseling and helping young people.

As Bill Johnson says : '' Just another day in the kingdom ''. What a wonderful God, and what a wonderful kingdom. To be continued........

Leaping with joy with Erika Cicero

Dear friends & partners,

We just got this letter (below) from Erika and we want you to rejoice with us! Somehow, we knew she would be blessed and that this year was going to be such a highlight for her. We stand in awe as we see how the Lord is really taking care of her beyond our wildest dreams. Betty Wagner is a dear friend of ours in her late 80's and has known Erika since she was a baby. She has been heading a ministry to missionaries in Southern California for many years shipping them books overseas. When we were at Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, CA) and at our lowest point, she took us out to buy groceries for our family. Thank you dear Betty and thanks to all of you from the bottom of our hearts who have blessed Erika in some way or another...

Ya know what?!
This is really exciting, I hope you're sitting down to get up and leap with joy...
I got a donation of $1,000 from Betty Wagner, she says it's to pay the rest of my tuition and the leftover is for my personal expenses, isn't
that a breakthrough? I mean we were taking care of that issue in school for a week or so... actually it has been a topic since the
beginning of the year!=D

Anyway, today was freezing, I wore gloves, a scarf and my pea coat and I was still cold! People were like "Erika what is it gonna be like
when it's REALLY gonna be cold?" Poeiti actually offered that pea coat to me, I was so touched.

I'm still waiting for Jazmyn to come home to pay for the rent! I just visited this house with only Hawaiian roommates, and it's sooooo fancy... gosh it's a mansion! We just started our small groups and I looove mine... it's a young one: 28, 23, 21, 18 and me... we shared, we got a Starbucks drink, we had fun! It supposed to be a bonding group and I think we're doing great!

Well, gotta go!
love you
Erika

Peace and Joy in the Kingdom

Dear friends,

The following is a quote (portion of a newsletter written in Feb. 2008) from dear minister friends of ours who live in Redding, Jay & Lori Haines, talking about the vital issues of peace and joy in the Kingdom of God. I hope you'll enjoy this great thought. I'm sure it will bless many of you. Be blessed!
Edualdo Cicero

"There's a scripture that says The Kingdom of God is not meat or drink but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. God has been teaching us to be aware of a religious spirit that always wants to do works and tries to perform for man's expectations. We have the spirit of God in His righteousness. It's all about what Jesus has provided for us on the cross. Also, the Kingdom of God is peace. This is a peace that happens when our lives are lined up with God's will and purposes in our lives. It's in this peace that we have salvation, healing, blessings from God, and last but not least joy in the Holy Ghost. This Joy is a fruit of the Spirit but it's also a joy that comes from the power in the Spirit. The Bible says out of our innermost being will flow rivers of living water. Being a Christian should be a joyful thing. the Bible says to rejoice ever more and rejoice without ceasing. Our will should follow God's word. That's why the Psalmist said I will rejoice and I will bless the Lord and all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. I encourage my friends and family to live in the power in the Kingdom of God, to live in His righteousness, to let His peace reign in our lives, and to live in the joyous spirit by God's power. I pray that God will release His Spirit and power into your life in a new and fresh way. Amen.
God bless you. Jay, Lori, and family."

I GAVE JESUS A DRINK

I GAVE JESUS A DRINK
A cry of His heart over Tahiti and the islands

It was not until last Sunday at church that I understood, during the worship time, what that incident I experienced in downtown Papeete the week before really meant.

Here is the story. Aline and I went to downtown in Papeete (Tahiti) to do some errands and get a bill taken care of from one of the government offices of town. Aline stayed in car and while I was exiting the building and was walking toward the car my attention was caught by a man seated in the passenger seat of the car parked right behind ours. He was obviously trying to draw my attention and seemed to have a hard time talking loud enough.

Since he was really intent in saying something to me I drew nearer to him and he was kind of whispering that he was REALLY thirsty: "J'ai soif, je veux boire" (translated from French: "I'm thirsty, I need to drink"). It was obvious that he had some impediment of speech and might have had some kind of paralysis. I was a little embarassed because I didn't have any unsealed water bottle I could use nor any cup in the car (we had a bottle in the car but we had already drunk from it). But the man was so desperate and it sounded like a matter of REAL thirst or he was gonna pass out. I felt the urgency of his cry and I said to him I would go get the water we had in the car and I went to get it.

As I was going to pass the bottle in his hands, he was obviously unable to grab a hold of it and he motioned to me that he needed help to get the bottle to his mouth. He didn't have a full use of his arms. So I brought gently the bottle to his mouth and lifted it slowly in order to allow him to drink. After about 10 seconds I took the bottle down and asked him if it was enough and he mentioned it was enough for now. Then I did feel an anointing come over me and I started talking to Him about Jesus. He immediately started crying with deep emotions and tears.

The presence of God was definitely there and I began praying over his chest for a healing to take place into his body. He was definitely touched and when he thanked me I noticed that his speech was definitely better. Somehow I felt this wasn't the time for any steps of faith on his part and I didn't want to challenge him at that point to get off the car and try to walk or make some movements he couldn't make. He had mentioned to me that he was waiting for his son-in-law (who had gone into one of those offices to get something done). He had not enough words to express his gratitude. I must admit that that event stunned me and I knew God was going to tell me more about it.

He asked me my name and phone number and I wrote them over an empty envelop I had in my hands. He couldn't even handle them so I put them in the glove box right in from of him. I also went to get a business card I had in the car and also put it in that glove box. His name is Bernard Poroi and I would like to request to you that you might pray for him for a complete healing but also a much deeper experience of God's love and for His salvation. He called me yesterday or the day before because he wanted to talk to me and I'm thankful he did since I now have at least two numbers I can call to reach him. This is what he said "You saved my life". I'm sure that this man might have had a very serious problem if I had not responded to his SOS signal. Thank God, I was able to pay attention.

Now, this is what the Lord showed me when I was in church last Sunday. I was taken by some creative thoughts of going to the streets of downtown Papeete and reaching out in new ways to the youth of that town with music, dances and songs of praise. All this was going on while I was in worship. All of a sudden the Lord brought me back to that encounter with the man in the streets of Papeete and there He told me what I did: "When you gave that water to Bernard it was actually to me you were doing it. You gave me a drink. And everytime you reach out to distressed souls out there you're blessing me and you bring refreshment to my heart. I'm so eager to see these many souls brought into my Kingdom. I already paid the full price for them."

The Lord revealed His heart of compassion and I cried out to Him "Lord, send me". I'm not sure what other implications are into this encounter but I'd like to ask you, my friends, to pray for this man. I'd like to see him completely restored (body, soul and spirit). He might actually be the gateway to more of those encounters and I do pray that the Lord will bring a burning passion into my heart for all these other ones who are waiting within closed doors and out there in the open. As I'm writing these lines to you my heart is deeply moved because I know this is the heartbeat of my Father in heaven and I'm writing them because I felt His prompting in my heart to do so today.

I promised Bernard that I would go visit him and he is also very anxious that I go. Please pray that Heaven would come forth with much more reality and power than I've ever known. I want to see Jesus in me do much more to save, heal, restore, bring purpose and a full life which He has promised (Jn 10:10). I know I owe all this people an encounter with God and I need to allow my Lord to have the access He longs to have in so many people's lives. I cannot afford to waste the high price He paid and I need that fire to burn stronger and stronger in me. This is my cry!!

I appreciate any of those prayers that will be made out of what He already has for us to experience because they are usually the ones that are made with faith. Thank you for your input into our lives in whichever way the Lord would have you give it. We should be sending out our newsletter very soon (it's in the works right now). This message was probably burning more on the heart of Jesus than mine but I got hit by His bullet as I was writing it. I pray that His bullets will just go right into your hearts. Please, let's remove the bullet proof jackets of unbelief, disbelief, discouragement or depression because Heaven wants to break open on us even has it has been available for 2,000 years!!

Because He is all our heart's desire and doing His bidding is our utmost call,
Edualdo (& Aline) Cicero
